The Ursuline College soccer team and head coach Jason Kubbins announced the addition of Kelcie Hook as an assistant coach for the 2018 season.

Hook, a native of Oregon, Ohio, graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2012 with a degree in Physical Education and Teacher Education brings over 12 years of coaching experience to the Arrows at both the club and high school levels.

Most recently, she worked for the West Windsor Plainsboro Soccer Association in New Jersey where she worked as a travel coach and also served as a summer coach team lead.

Her other club experience includes the Pacesetter Soccer Club, one of Ohio’s premier clubs based out of Toledo.

Hook worked as the Assistant Varsity Girls soccer coach at Clay High School from 2013 to 2017. She also was the school’s goalkeeper coach during that span that the team went a combined 47-17-8 and 22-5 in the TRAC.

At Clay, in 2015 and 2016 they were the OHSAA Northwest Ohio Division I District Runner-up and TRAC league runner-up. In both 2014 and 2013 her teams had goalkeepers named Division I First Team All-Ohio.

“We are excited to have Kelcie be a part of our program,” said Kubbins. “She comes highly recommended and I believe she will bring experience and enthusiasm to our program,” he added.

Hook holds NSCAA Level 1, 2 and 3 Goalkeeping Diplomas that she earned in 2013 and a USSF E Coaching License that she also received in 2013.

The Arrows begin the 2018 season at home on August 30 when they will host Wheeling Jesuit.
